When Your Cycle Aligns with the Moon

As I write this blog under a big, beautiful Super moon, my uterus is bleeding, and I can’t hide my excitement.

I love my bleed. And today feels even more special because she’s perfectly in tune with the moon’s radiant fullness.

Being peri-menopausal, my cycles are often irregular. So when this alignment happens, it feels like a sacred reunion, my body moving in rhythm with the Grandmother Moon.

When a woman bleeds on the Full Moon, it often means she will ovulate on the New Moon.

Do you love your bleed?

What is your relationship with the moon and your cycle?

The moon and menstruation both follow a rhythm of roughly 28–30 days. A rhythm that guided women long before period trackers or wellness apps existed.

Our ancestors knew this connection was sacred. Deeply magical.

So what does it mean to bleed in alignment with the moon’s fullness?

Historically, this phase was associated with the healers, witches, spiritual rebels, and “Red Moon” women — those whose magic served the collective more than the family.

It symbolises transmutation, intuitive power, and deep inner work.

When I first read about this, I felt like a child again. It resonated so deeply, because it described everything I offer within The Womb Room — a space of transformation, intuition, and feminine power.

So watch out, beautiful soul.

Even if you’re not currently bleeding with the moon’s fullness, after spending time in The Womb Room, don’t be surprised if you begin to feel more intuitive, more sensual, and more creatively alive. Because when you reconnect with your womb, you reconnect with the moon herself.

If you would like to explore your relationship with your menstrual cycle more deeply, and how a womb healing experience may support you, I would love to hear from you.

love, Joanne from The Womb Room.
